SKILLS

Wisdom. Curiosity. Real work.

A celebration of the wisdom of our elders, the curiosity of our youth, and the transformational power of skills.

Watch. Ask. Try. Listen. Then tell the truth of the encounter through performance.

SKILLS brings young people close to someone who knows how to do a thing. They watch, ask, try, listen, and tell the truth of the work — building relationships across generations and a deeper connection with the land.

Young people entered the worlds of farmers, builders, craftspeople, artists, elders and other skilled people; learned by doing; and transformed those encounters into theatre for an audience.

This is one of the most effective approaches to education I’ve ever seen.” — John Records
